1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use CircuitX:

• Account information — display name you choose during onboarding.
• Fitness & workout data — routines you create, workout sessions, sets, reps, weights, exercise history, personal records, and workout notes.
• Health data — with your explicit permission, CircuitX reads from and writes to Apple Health: step count, active energy burned, heart rate, and workout sessions. This data is used solely to provide you with fitness insights and is never sold or shared with advertisers.
• Usage data — app preferences, settings, streak count, XP, level, and badges earned.
• Social data — if you use friend features, your display name and public workout stats may be visible to friends you connect with.
• Device information — device type, OS version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalise the CircuitX experience, including AI coaching recommendations.
• To sync your data across your devices via iCloud (CloudKit).
• To send you push notifications about your streak, weekly goals, and progress — only if you opt in.
• To improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• To process subscription payments through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

3. AI Coach & Third-Party AI Services

CircuitX's AI Coach feature sends anonymised fitness context (such as your recent workout history, current level, and streak) to third-party AI providers — including Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude — to generate coaching responses and workout suggestions.

We do not send your name, email address, or Apple Health data to these AI providers. Responses generated by the AI coach are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical or fitness advice.

4. Data Storage & Sync

Your workout data and profile are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. We do not operate our own servers that store your personal fitness data. iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

App preferences and settings are additionally synced via iCloud Key-Value Storage (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With your consent — for example, when you share a workout card or routine link with another user.
• AI providers — anonymised fitness context as described in Section 3.
• Apple — payment processing and CloudKit sync are handled by Apple.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CircuitX or its users.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

CxMaxx subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. CircuitX never sees or stores your payment card information. Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID settings.

7. Children's Privacy

CircuitX is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you have the app installed and your iCloud account active. You can delete all your CircuitX data at any time from within the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, workout history, and all associated data from iCloud.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. Since most data is stored in your personal iCloud account, you can also manage it directly through your Apple ID.

10. Security

Data stored in iCloud is encrypted by Apple both in transit and at rest. We follow Apple's best practices for data security within the app. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a notification in the app or an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of CircuitX after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
